Full-spectrum thinking.
We believe the 5 Cs — Communication, Collaboration, Critical Thinking, Creativity, and Character — are non-negotiable 21st century skills that every student needs to cultivate. By introducing students to potential career opportunities, we give them the chance to learn critical technical skills, advancing their career and hireability before they’ve even graduated. We also know teachers are one of the most influential forces in a student’s life. Our externship program gives educators the chance to experience your business first-hand so they can apply their learning directly to their curriculum.
The AIME participation model.

Testimonials
Mentoring an Anaheim Union High School District student will change the way you think about your work and the community, and most importantly, it will change students’ lives. AUHSD students represent the future of Anaheim – and your kindness in giving them your time, your advice, and introducing them to your profession will change our city for the better. Thank you for investing in the lives of our youth through your partnership with AIME. It will make a tremendous difference.
AIME is such a great program. I am surprised and honored that Anaheim is the first city to be involved in this front-forward endeavor. I hope other cities become engaged and expand the initiative. I wish this was around when I was younger, the experience and skills the students get exposed to is unmatched!
Being a part of the AIME program as a mentor was a great experience for me; I hope it was for the students as well. I gained the perspective of a generation that I will hire and work with. As an Anaheim Public Utility mentor working with the students, I tried to educate them about my job as an engineer, as well as the general roles and responsibilities of different professional levels where I work. The students were also able to go through the process of getting ready for a job interview, be interviewed, and be the interviewer. I think the program is a win-win.
I am so proud to be a partner in this program where I get to teach my trade to these teens. Nothing has been more rewarding than to watch the growth of the students as they realize their potential and the opportunities that lie ahead. This is a career exploration opportunity like no other.
It has been an honor for Group Delta and myself to be able to participate in such a great mentoring program. Sharing our insight and expertise to the students about our services and possible opportunities for work in this industry that are right here in their neighborhood has been a great pleasure. We look forward to many more mentoring opportunities and paid summer internships within Group Delta and the AIME program.
The AIME program has been extremely rewarding for me personally. As a mentor I have been able to introduce students from the AUHSD to a whole other world of business and marketing that they didn’t even know existed. By the end of the program many students leave with new ambitions and new career ideas, which shows that the program is having an impact on the future of these students.
We’re here to help.
AIME depends on the generosity of your team and your talents to help shape a better future for the students we work with. We know it’s a mutually beneficial relationship and that your employees will learn from our students as much as they learn from you. If you have any lingering questions, we’ve gathered a few of our most common to help.
