The Deloitte Academy: Accounting edition’s introductory workshop guides students to envision their future and then consider how a career in accounting may fit their interests, skills, and goals.

Students will learn about entrepreneurship and running a small business
Students will attend a certification program and get certified as a Tourism Ambassador .
A career panel will present to students on various careers. There will be a breakout session where mentors will work with small groups.
Students can learn about their ideal career. Student can join the breakfast to connect with working professions in their desired field held at the Cypress Community Center.
Students will learn about different careers and how to get the job they want. Over 20 workshops will be offered in such diverse fields as law enforcement, medicine, cosmetology, engineering, sports, and more!

During this program, young women will experience career mentoring, breakout sessions, panel discussions, lunch, and a keynote speaker as they are empowered to become the next generation of female leaders!
In 1965, the City of Anaheim started a program named Youth in Government Day to provide local high school students with a firsthand look and knowledge on how the city government plays an essential role in their daily lives. For the past 58 years, the Anaheim Community Services Department has created opportunities for Anaheim students to spend a day with key City staff and engage in meaningful dialogue to discuss issues of importance to Anaheim youth. Student participation provides City staff with valuable information that could be used to help shape the City’s future. In 2024, over 120 students from 12 high schools participated in this worthwhile event. It is our goal to reach 150 students with this year’s program and once again provide students with a valuable experience, they will not soon forget.
