FLI is a no-cost pre-college summer program designed for students who are interested in gaining exposure to the business of STEM, including finance, healthcare, and other real-world applications of science and technology.
UC Irvine School of Medicine offers medical education programming designed to guide pre-med students through the essential coursework and experiences needed to become competitive medical school applicants. These programs typically offer a structured curriculum that includes core sciences like biology, chemistry and physics, along with opportunities for clinical exposure, volunteer work and research.
Many programs also provide mentorship, advising and workshops on medical school applications, standardized exams and interview preparation. Ideal for undergraduate students or postbaccalaureate candidates, pre-med pathway programs equip aspiring healthcare professionals with the academic foundation, practical skills and psychosocial skills necessary to succeed in medical school and beyond.
The program will engage high school students from diverse OC neighborhoods in research and education on dementia and neuroscience. It will include 1:1 mentoring, lab tours, faculty talks, and hands-on demonstrations. Students will receive a $500 scholarship upon successful completion of the program and transportation.
Welcome to the Foundations of Modern Cybersecurity course, a dynamic 8-week program that introduces beginners to the essential principles and practices of cybersecurity. With an emphasis on emerging technologies like artificial intelligence and machine learning, this course provides a comprehensive foundation for understanding and navigating the evolving cybersecurity landscape. Through hands-on exercises and real-world case studies, you’ll gain the knowledge and skills to address both traditional and modern security challenges.
The AGC Construction Education Foundation’s Build California Summer Camp is a free, week-long career exploration camp designed for rising 11th and 12th grade students. The program introduces students to the wide range of opportunities within the construction industry through hands-on activities, industry engagement, and career development workshops. Location: Southern California Laborers’ Training School; 1385 Sierra Madre Ave, Azusa, CA 91702.
During the week, students will have the opportunity to:
- Build resumes and practice mock interviews
- Participate in hands-on building activities
- Learn about construction safety and tools
- Tour a union apprenticeship training center
- Visit an active construction project site
- Meet industry professionals and explore career pathways

At this time, City of Anaheim/YSC is looking for work-ready, well-spoken individuals who are interested in paid training to work directly with individuals with lived experience. Please see flyer for more information.
Several positions available. Some college is preferred, but not required. Applicants must be between 18-30 yrs old in order to participate and meet other program guidelines.
- Pay: $18-$20
- Length of internship: 6-9 months
- General job description: Duties vary depending on their worksite. Worksite is decided based on the applicant’s background and experience. In general, Interns will be working alongside Case Managers with local Homeless Service Providers who provide assistance to homeless individuals. They may work in an office setting and/or out in the community. The interns will learn about:
- Outreach
- Prevention
- Rapid rehousing
- Emergency Shelter
Carnival Cruise Line will host a local summer jobs program in Long Beach for rising high school students at least 17 years old. The 2026 Carnival Fun-ternship Program is an eight-week paid internship that runs between June and August 2026 and will provide students with hands-on experience working alongside Carnival’s guest port services team. They will get a behind-the-scenes look at how Carnival’s cruise operations run at the port while building real-world skills and exploring careers in travel and hospitality.

Orange County Department of Education is looking for the next class of OC Pathways Student Ambassadors (Grades 7-12) and is looking for CTE students with untapped leadership potential who would thrive with industry mentorship and real-world project experience.
